The latest update for Super Mario Maker 2 has added a World Maker mode, which lets players create eight world maps and use them to string together stages and bonus levels. These eight worlds can be packaged together as a Super World and uploaded to the Internet. In order to keep the worlds distinct, there are eight different themes that can be used to differentiate them, which is something that has been used in many Super Mario Bros. games over the years, starting with Super Mario Bros. 3 on the Nintendo Entertainment System.
