Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 literally opened up the world of the franchise - but sadly the gameplay misses the mark. Sniper movies are a popular subgenre and stand in contrast to most action films, where its often about the hero waiting for the perfect shot instead of spraying bullets everywhere. Its sort of a niche genre, however, encompassing the long-running Sniper movie series featuring Tom Berenger, Jude Law's Enemy At The Gates and Shooter, starring Mark Wahlberg. There was also Clint Eastwood's American Sniper, a biopic about Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. Sniping games have become a surprisingly popular genre too.
