The Last Vermeer is the wild-but-true story of a Dutch folk hero who swindled Nazis out of millions by selling them fake paintings. Accomplished producer and first-time director Dan Friedkin brought the story to life with Guy Pearce in the starring role, and it is as entertaining as it is educational. Pearce spoke to Screen Rant about the process of getting into character, praised his costar Claes Bang, and shared how he picks out the best scripts.
